French Toast with Bananas and Walnuts

Ingredients
- 8 slices bread 1" thick
- 4 large eggs beaten
- ½ cup milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup maple syrup warmed
- 2 bananas sliced
- ¼ cup walnuts chopped
Instructions
- Preheat griddle to medium high heat.
- Whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a shallow dish.
- Dip banana bread slices in the egg mixture, coating both sides. Do not soak in dish.
- Spray griddle with non-stick cooking spray and fry slices until golden brown on both sides.
- Serve with warm maple syrup, banana slices, and chopped walnuts.
