Bean Bread (tuya disuyi)

Ingredients
- 2 cups pinto beans cooked
- 1 pot boiling water
- 2 cups cornmeal sifted unbolted
- ⅓ cup self-rising flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
Instructions
- Have a pot of water and a pot of beans boiling.
- Mix meal, flour and baking soda together in a large bowl.
- Mix meal mixture and beans/soup until moist enough to work with. If you don’t have enough bean soup to moisten the meal, you may add some boiling water. Keep a bowl of cold water nearby to moisten and cool hands in order to work with meal/bean mixture.
- Once moist enough to work with, form bean dumplings and drop pinto boiling water. Dumplings are ready when they float to the top.
